A Simple Way to Document Your Journey

Eric Fung Admin

Documenting every step of the way. It's not just about keeping memories; it's about sharing the real, raw, and often messy process of building a dream from the ground up. Here’s how we’ve been doing it, and trust me, it’s been an adventure in itself.

The following video is Luca of Pudgy Penguins doing some behind the scenes footage.

1. The Open Book of Our Startup: Keeping a Founder's Diary

Imagine opening up a diary for the whole world to read. Sounds pretty nerve-wracking, right? But that's exactly what we decided to do. This isn't your average diary, though. It's a mix of our highest highs, lowest lows, and everything in between. We've been sharing our journey through weekly blog posts and daily blurbs on social media, giving everyone a front-row seat to our adventure.

Real-Life Example: Take the time we almost missed a major deadline for our product launch. Instead of sweeping it under the rug, we shared the chaos, the sleepless nights, and how our team pulled together to make it happen. The response was incredible—people appreciated the honesty, and it sparked a conversation about overcoming hurdles in the startup world.

2. Capturing Moments in Real-Time: Leveraging Social Media

Social media has been our sidekick in this adventure, allowing us to capture and share moments as they happen. Platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn have become our digital diary pages, filled with quick stories, updates, and even live sessions that bring our audience along for the ride.

For Instance: There was a day when everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Instead of hiding it, we went live on Instagram, showing the behind-the-scenes of a "disaster day" and how we were tackling it. The outpouring of support and shared stories from our followers turned a tough day into one of our most engaging and community-building experiences.

3. Building a Two-Way Street: Engaging and Learning

One of the coolest parts of documenting our journey has been the two-way conversation it's started. Every post, story, and update is a chance for feedback, advice, and sometimes just a good old pep talk from our community. This immediate engagement has not only helped us refine our strategies but has also built a strong, supportive network around our brand.

A Memorable Interaction: After sharing a blog post about our decision-making process for a new feature, we received a ton of insightful feedback that actually led us to pivot our approach. It was a powerful reminder that our community is full of brilliant minds eager to help us grow.

4. Embracing the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Documenting our journey has taught us to embrace every aspect of this startup life—the successes, the failures, and everything in between. It's made our brand more human, relatable, and, honestly, more interesting. People don't just want the polished highlights; they crave the authenticity of the struggle, the innovation, and the triumphs that come with building something from nothing.

So, here's to more sharing, more engaging, and more growing together. Our journey is far from over, and we can't wait to see where this open diary takes us and who it inspires along the way. Join us, won't you? Let's make this journey a story worth telling.
