Eric Fung Admin

In the dynamic landscape of startups, the clarity and effectiveness of a pitch can significantly influence the trajectory of a business. The 12 Pitch Framework has proven itself as a powerful tool in this regard, helping entrepreneurs articulate their vision, secure funding, and forge lasting relationships. Here, I will tell you the benefits and outcomes achieved by me of this framework, focusing on my experiences of WOLF3 a previous startup of mine, and another Globalify's cofounder Jennifer Cheng Lo experience on backing successful startups.

Eric Fung & WOLF3: A Success Story in Web3

Eric Fung, thats me. The visionary behind WOLF3, a pioneering lending protocol in the Web3 space, utilized the 12 Pitch Framework to great effect. As a startup founder, Fung faced the immense challenge of explaining a complex, technologically advanced service in a clear and engaging manner. By employing the 12 Pitch Framework, he was able to break down his innovative concept into understandable segments, effectively communicating the problem it solved, the uniqueness of his approach, and the viability of his business model.

The result? A successful funding round that raised $500,000. This initial investment was crucial, but perhaps more importantly, the structured approach of the pitch helped Fung establish credibility and trustworthiness in a field where both are paramount. The relationships forged during these initial pitches have endured, supporting WOLF3 as it continues to evolve and expand. The framework not only facilitated financial backing but also helped build a network of partnerships that have been instrumental in the company's ongoing success.

The following is a demo video of the WOLF3 Web3 protocol, that I created 2 years to demo the capabilities and everything after starting to build the product.

Jennifer Cheng Lo and BEECRAZY: Acquisition and IPO

Similarly, Jennifer Cheng Lo, cofounder of Globalify, an innovative tech startup, leveraged a pitch framework very similar to the 12 Pitch Manual Framework in her previous venture, BEECRAZY. The company specialized in global e-commerce solutions, needed a clear and compelling narrative to attract potential buyers and investors. She helped develop this pitch structure from her experience.

Her effective use of the framework caught the attention of major industry players, culminating in the acquisition of BEECRAZY was acquired by iBuy Group and listed on Australian Stock Exchange after a merger with Deal.SG and ENSOGO.

This acquisition not only provided significant financial returns but also demonstrated the powerful impact of well-crafted pitches. The structured approach allowed Lo to effectively communicate the value of her newest venture, Globalify (which is part of the product you are reading right now) , leading to seamless integration with different partners in various industries.

The Benefits of the 12 Pitch Framework

The experiences of Eric and Jennifer underscore several key benefits of using the 12 Pitch Manual:

  1. Clarity and Understanding: The framework helps founders articulate complex ideas in a structured, clear manner that resonates with diverse audiences, including investors, partners, and potential customers.
  2. Persuasion and Engagement: Each component of the framework is designed to build on the previous one, creating a compelling story that actively engages the listener and encourages them to invest, not just financially but emotionally as well.
  3. Establishing Credibility: By systematically addressing potential concerns and highlighting strengths, the framework enhances the credibility of the business and its leadership.
  4. Facilitating Relationships: The clear, professional presentation of a business idea lays a strong foundation for building trust and relationships with key stakeholders, which are crucial for long-term success.

Conclusion

The 12 Pitch Manual is more than just a tool for securing funding; it is a comprehensive approach that supports entrepreneurs in clearly communicating their vision, establishing credibility, and building enduring relationships. The stories of Eric Fung and Jennifer Cheng Lo are proof to the 12 Pitch Manual framework’s effectiveness, providing a roadmap for other entrepreneurs aiming to navigate the challenging waters of the startup ecosystem.

As the business landscape continues to evolve, the principles encapsulated in the 12 Pitch Framework remain ever relevant, guiding the next generation of innovators towards success.
